Refund Policy.
When a refund applies to a digital guide or a subscription, and how to ask for one.
Two different things are sold here
Digital guides are a one-time purchase: you pay once, you download a file, and there is nothing to cancel. Coach OS subscriptions are recurring: you are charged every month until you stop it. The rules below are not the same for both, so this page says which is which.
Coach OS subscriptions
A Coach OS plan — the Workout Generator at $10 CAD per month — renews automatically each month until you cancel it. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
- Cancel any time, yourself. Open Billing in your account and use Manage subscription. That opens Stripe's own portal, where cancelling is one action. You do not need to email anyone and you do not need our permission.
- Cancelling does not cut you off immediately. You keep the module until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not take back a month you paid for because you decided not to buy the next one.
- We do not pro-rate a partial month by default. The month you are in has been paid and is served in full.
- Your data is not deleted when you cancel. Your account, your exercise library and every workout you saved stay where they are. You lose the ability to generate new sessions, not the work you already did.
- A renewal you did not want. If you meant to cancel and were charged for another month you have not used, write to us. We refund that month. We would rather do that than argue with someone who is leaving anyway.
- The service did not work. If the module you paid for was unavailable or broken for a meaningful part of the period, we refund or credit that period.
- A charge you did not make. Tell us and we refund and investigate.
A failed payment does not lock you out on the spot: there is a grace window before paid modules switch off, so an expired card is a thing to fix rather than a service interruption.
Digital guides — the short version
A guide is delivered the moment you pay, and it cannot be returned the way a physical object can. So the default is that a completed download is not refundable simply because you changed your mind. But that default has real exceptions, and they are listed below.
When we refund
We refund in full, without argument, in each of these cases:
- You were charged but never received the guide. A failed download, an expired link you never got to use, an email that never arrived — if you did not receive what you paid for, you get your money back or a working link, whichever you prefer.
- You received the wrong guide. If the file delivered is not the one you bought, we correct it immediately and refund if you would rather not keep it.
- The file is unusable. A corrupted or unreadable PDF is a delivery failure, not a matter of taste.
- You were charged twice for the same guide. The duplicate is refunded.
- The purchase was not made by you. Tell us and we will refund and look into it.
When we generally do not refund
- You downloaded and read the guide and did not find it useful.
- You already owned it, or bought the wrong title by mistake after downloading it.
- You disagree with the content or expected a different subject.
This is why every guide's page states its subject, its table of contents, its length and its price before you buy. Read them — they are there so the purchase is an informed one.
Your legal rights
This policy is a commercial commitment, not a limitation of the law. Where the law that applies to you gives you a right to a refund or a right of withdrawal that cannot be waived by agreement, that right applies regardless of anything written on this page. Consumer protection rules differ by country and province, and some of them override a seller's policy.
If you believe you have such a right, say so when you write to us and we will apply it rather than argue about it.
How to request a refund
Write to contact@lifeforcecoach.ca and include the order reference shown on your confirmation page, or the email address used at checkout.
We aim to answer within a few business days. Approved refunds are returned by Stripe to the card used for the purchase; how quickly it appears on your statement is up to your bank, and is typically a few business days.
Chargebacks
If something has gone wrong, contact us first. A refund we issue directly is faster than a chargeback, and it lets us fix the underlying problem for the next buyer.
